Talar's Story: How it All Started

Serj and I met in September of 2013. Our first date included an amazing dinner at Café Santorini in Pasadena followed by drinks at the beautiful Perch in Downtown. Never had I ever had a first date like this… filled with so much laughter, so much smiling, and really a wondering if it was all real. Serj and I are very opposite in many ways, but we’re also alike. We have different tastes in music and movies, but both love sports and spending time with family! It keeps our relationship so very much alive and always interesting.

One of our favorite all time moments was being at the Stanley Cup Championship game in June of 2014. Since both of us have such a passion for sports and can get really competitive, we decided to attend this once in a lifetime opportunity, no matter what the cost! In fact, Serj had joked with me by saying that if he saw the Stanley Cup that night, and that the Kings won, he would propose to me! Sure enough, I bragged this to everyone in our entire section! Even the opposing teams fans were secretly rooting for the Kings to win, at least I’d like to think so! Second overtime, just about 5 minutes left, we’re on our tiptoes trying not to blink, the puck goes in the goal and the entire place goes crazy… what happened three months later?
