Technology has evolved exponentially within the last ten years, and the wedding planning process has joined the evolution. Where once, brides would carry around heavy binders filled with information on venues, caterers, photographers, and all other wedding vendors they were considering, today they have the luxury of browsing, calling, and ultimately choosing all of their vendors from one small, pocket-sized device, thanks to wedding planning smartphone apps. There are tons of wedding apps out there, each with a different layout or functionality. Here are our top 10 favorites.

1. The Knot:
If you’re looking for a reliable app that does everything, you need The Knot, which also offers a complete website and magazine for added support. The app and the site come loaded with a wedding dress finder, checklist, registry creator, directory of wedding vendors in your area, a budget tracker, and so much more. You can even create your own webpage on the site, where your guests can access event information and registries.
2. Wedding Wire:
Wedding Wire also offers a complete, start to finish wedding planning experience, but goes a step further than The Knot by allowing you to contact, book, and pay your vendors, all within the app. It does not, however, offer the same in-depth guides and forums as The Knot.
Most of our wedding planning begins on Pinterest long before we’ve even begun to entertain the idea of getting engaged. Though we wouldn’t recommend it for the actually serious planning process, it’s a great way to get a general idea of what you want your wedding to look like, which saves you a great deal of time once you begin shopping for vendors.
If you’re looking for the perfect organizational tool, whether for your wedding or anything else in life, Trello is the tool for you. Trello allows you to create, organize, and re-organize projects, add comments, due dates, and so much more. And, best of all, you can add users to your projects, like your mom or bridesmaids, to ensure that everyone is always on the same page.
5. Appy Couple:
Appy Couple is an easy and elegant way to design your perfect wedding website right from your iPhone. From sharing your story to keeping guests updated about events, Appy Couple does it all.
6. Wedding Party:
Instead of scouring social media for photos your guests took during your wedding, you can use an app that allows your friends and family to upload all of their photos in one place. With wedding party, you, your friends, and your family can share all the photos from your event in one place with everyone. Afterwards, you can even upload one batch to Facebook if you'd like.

Creating a wedding registry can be challenging, especially if you’re looking to register in more than one place. You have to ensure all of your guests have access to all of your registries, that you don’t have duplicate items across several registries, etc. RightGift is your solution. They have a huge barcode database from a multitude of retailers, so you can add items across hundreds of stores all in one place. When your guests purchase items, your registry is updated, leaving much less room for error and duplicate gift purchases. Note, however, that RightGift is not available on Android.
Trim down for your walk down the aisle with Fitocracy. This app makes it easy to stay on top of being active; in fact, it turns physical fitness into a game. Track all your physical activities leading up to the wedding — from Saturday jogs to dancing up a storm during your bachelorette party, activities rack points to help you “level up.”
To make sure you have your favorite music playing throughout your wedding day, from the early morning hair & makeup session to the pre wedding celebrations to the limo ride, consider using Spotify. Create playlists for all the different events on your wedding day, and all you have to do is connect your phone, tablet, or laptop to a set of speakers on your big day.
10. Zola Registry:
Swipe right to add an item to your registry or left to pass it up. See something you like in a store? Use the app to scan barcodes. You can also add cash/honeymoon funds to your wishlist or enable guests to pool funds for big-ticket gifts. Zola too, is unfortunately not available on Android.
